Meet the Owner - Shannon Birdwell
Shannon Birdwell is more than a handyman — he’s a Cookeville native who’s been in the building trade since he was 19. He grew up working in carpentry and cabinets with his dad and close family friends.
He followed in his father's footsteps since he was 14 years old. In 2010, Shannon took a part-time job at Lowe's. Shortly after, he had a life-changing event. He was involved in a motorcycle wreck and lost his left leg.
Shannon did not let that stop him. Instead, he took a full-time position at Lowe's designing kitchens. He worked in sales for 10 years and learned more and more every day. He decided to take a leap of faith, knowing it would be physically challenging to start his own business. He started UpKeep Services, LLC, to serve people of Cookeville with honest, high-quality home repairs.
Shannon is first a family man and loves the outdoors. He enjoys going kayaking and spending long days on Center Hill and Dale Hollow. When you are looking for someone who does what he says and is honest, he is the guy you want to do the job.
